Harmon Richard Walters was born on November 14, 1921, in Ace, Polk County, Texas. He was the son of John Herren Walters and Mamie Oliver Walters. He served in the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, as a Sergeant during World War II.
Walters also participated in the Korean War and ended his military service as a Sergeant First Class. SFC Walters died on December 5, 1998, and is now buried in the Menard Chapel Cemetery, Segno, Polk County, Texas, USA.
