George Eldo Brusberg was born on August 21, 1921, in West Virginia. He was the son of Eldo Frederic Brusberg and Alma Piaget Brusberg. He worked as a sales clerk before enlisting in the service on December 14, 1942. He served in the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II.
Pvt Brusberg was Killed in Action on August 19, 1944, during the liberation of Argentan, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France. He also has a cenotaph in the Oaklawn Memorial Park, Barboursville, Cabell County, West Virginia, USA.
