Ferald Dene Doublemont was born on June 25, 1918, in Greene County, Indiana. He was the son of Louis Doublemont and Viola "Ola" Mitchell Doublemont. He served in the 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.
PFC Doublemont was Killed in Action on August 20, 1944, during the liberation of Argentan, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
