William Henry Falls Jr. was born on December 7, 1919. He was the son of William Henry Falls Sr. and Anna Pearl Thornton Falls. He served in the 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.

PFC Falls was Killed in Action on August 20, 1944, during the liberation of Argentan, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France. He also has a cenotaph in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama, USA.
