Lowell A. Harrison was born on January 4, 1921, in Kent County, Michigan. He was the son of DeForest Miner "Dea" Harrison and Golda "Goldie" Newland Harrison. He enlisted in the service on August 3, 1942. He served in the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.

PFC Harrison was Killed in Action on August 19, 1944, during the liberation of Argentan, France. He is now buried in the Pinewood Cemetery, Tyrone Township, Kent County, Michigan, USA.
