Andrew Mike Hrezik was born on October 4, 1914, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was the son of Michael Hrezik and Susan Hrezik. He served in the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.

PFC Hrezik was Killed in Action on August 20, 1944, during the liberation of Argentan, France. He is now buried in the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Departement du Calvados, Basse-Normandie, France.
