Edward John Rydenski was born on November 21, 1912, in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Leonard J. Rydenski and Paulina Cicha Rydenski. He served in the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II.

Pvt Rydenski was Killed in Action on August 19, 1944, during the liberation of Argentan, France. He is now buried in the Brittany, American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
