John “Jack” Farquhar was born on September 24, 1888, in Aberdeen City, Scotland. He was the son of William Farquhar. He served in Supply Company, 148th Field Artillery Regiment, 41st Division, as a Private during World War I.
Pvt Farquhar died on February 4, 1919, in Germany due to pneumonia during the postwar occupation. He is now buried in the Springbank Cemetery, Aberdeen, Aberdeen City, Scotland.
