Born 24 Jun 1888, Cloonacool, County Sligo, Ireland. John arrived in Boston on the SS Zeeland in Apr 1910. He joined the US Army during WW1 and served in Company. K, 165th Infantry Regiment., 42nd Infantry Division. He was killed in action 15 October 1918 at Landres-et-St. Georges, France during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. His remains were returned to Ireland in 1922 on the SS Millwater. Buried in Kilcummin Cemetery, Sligo.
