Wilbur Lee Bradford was born in 1922, in Tennessee. He was the son of Henry Bradford and Lucy E. Jordan. He served in the 121st Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.

PFC Bradford was Killed in Action on September 3, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Département de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
