Louis Anthony Delfino was born on February 27, 1922, in Rock Island, Rock Island County, Illinois. He was the son of Joseph Delfino and Joseph D'Amico. He was married to Mary Ruby Schoylan. He served in the 28th Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.

PFC Delfino was Killed in Action on August 28, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Saint Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
