Edward S. Edmonds was born on September 18, 1925, in Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York. He was the son of Gilbert S. Edmonds and Margaret Craig Edmonds. He was married to Anna Jean Senko. He served in the 28th Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II.

Pvt Edmonds was Killed in Action on August 25, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, Schenectady County, New York, USA.
