Richard Veward Albright was born on November 9, 1930, in Lee County, Alabama. He was the son of Richard Albright and Ethel Mason Albright. He served in the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

PFC Albright was Killed in Action on October 13, 1951, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Rosemere Cemetery, Opelika, Lee County, Alabama, USA.
