Ellis Lee Aldridge was born on February 24, 1926, in Fayette County, Alabama. He was the son of Marion Claude Aldridge and Louvenia Elizabeth Canterbury Aldridge. He was married to Robbie Hope Miles Aldridge. He served in the Headquarters and Service Company, 10th Engineer Combat Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, as a Sergeant First Class and Combat Construction Foreman during the Korean War.

SFC Aldridge was Killed in Action on October 4, 1951, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Glen Allen Cemetery, Fayette County, Alabama, USA.
