Morris Allums was born on August 21, 1910, in Walker County, Alabama. He served in Battery D, 82nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Master Sergeant and Mess Steward during the Korean War.
MSgt Allums was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy along the Chongchon River near Kunu-ri, North Korea on December 1, 1950, and died while a prisoner on January 31, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
