Willard Eugene Bailey was born on August 1, 1932, in Jefferson County, Alabama. He was the son of Comer Carthell Bailey and Alma Estelle Burks Bailey. He was married to Daisy Bailey. He served in the 14th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.
PFC Bailey was Killed in Action on March 6, 1952, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama, USA.
