Charles “Charlie” Zajicek was born on November 2, 1893, in Latium, Washington County, Texas. He was the son of George Zajicek and Rosalie Zajicek.
He served in the Field Artillery as a Private during World War I. He died of disease on December 14, 1918, in the hospital La Courneau, Camp Hunt in France. He was buried at Suresnes American Cemetery and Memorial, Suresnes, Departement des Hauts-de-Seine, Île-de-France, France.
