John Quincy Adams was born on August 15, 1932, in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. He served in Company M, 3rd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, 24th Infantry Division, as a Private and Heavy Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.
Pvt Adams was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in the southwest section of the Pusan Perimeter near Hadong, South Korea, on July 27, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
