He served in the 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.
PFC Anderson was Killed in Action on July 20, 1950, in South Korea. He is now buried in the Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA.
