Tatsuo Arai was born on July 11, 1928. He was the son of Kurojuro Arai and Hatsume Arai. He served in the 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, as a Corporal and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.
Cpl Arai was Killed in Action on October 14, 1951, in North Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
