Mitsuo Hamada was born on July 15, 1931. He was the son of Tatsuo Hamada and Yoshimo Hamada. He served in the 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.
PFC Hamada was Killed in Action on November 29, 1950, in North Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
