Tomio Honda was born on May 17, 1929. He was the son of Asajiro Honda and Tsuru Fukami Honda. He served in the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Pvt Honda was Killed in Action on September 28, 1951, during the Battle of Heartbreak Ridge in North Korea. He is now buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA.
