Yoshio Ikeda was born on January 14, 1922. He was the son of Denjiro Ikeda and Usa Ikeda. He served in Company C, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, as a Sergeant and Powerman during the Korean War.

Sgt Ikeda was Killed in Action on August 12, 1950, near Pongam-ni (Bloody Gulch), South Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
