Kiyoshi Ishimizu was born on December 12, 1928. He was the son of Suwa Ishimisu Miyanoshita. He served in the 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Assault Crewman during the Korean War.

PFC Ishimizu was Killed in Action on July 21, 1953, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA.
