Robert Shigeo Ishimoto was born on February 14, 1926. He served in the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

PFC Ishimoto was Killed in Action on April 2, 1951, in South Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
