Heishin Matsuda was born on November 9, 1924. He was the son of Gashin Matsuda. He served in the 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

PFC Matsuda was Killed in Action on April 26, 1951, in South Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
