Alan Tadashi Miyahara was born on December 29, 1931. He was the son of Kama Miyahira. He served in the 180th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division, as a Private and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Pvt Miyahara was Killed in Action on June 14, 1952, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Maui Veterans Cemetery, Makawao, Maui County, Hawaii, USA.
