Daniel Teiso Miyashiro was born on September 22, 1929, in Kukuiula, Kauai County, Hawaii. He was the son of Teiki Miyashiro. He served in the 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Heavy Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

PFC Miyashiro was Killed in Action on July 16, 1950, in South Korea. He is now buried in the Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe, Kauai County, Hawaii, USA.
