Tamotsu Miyashiro was born on October 11, 1925. He was the son of Jujo Miyashiro. He served in the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.
PFC Miyashiro was Killed in Action on May 18, 1951, in South Korea. He is now buried in the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. , Hilo, Hawaii County, Hawaii, USA.
