Yeichi Nakasato was born on August 27, 1925, in Paia, Maui County, Hawaii. He was the son of Masao Nakasato and Maka Onaga Nakasato. He served in Company K, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, as a Private and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Pvt Nakasato was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 11, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
