Togo Okamura was born on October 18, 1931, in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California. He was the son of Suyeichi Okamura and Owai Okamura. He served in the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, as a Private and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Pvt Okamura was Killed in Action on November 23, 1951, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Golden Gate National Cemeter, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA.
