Jitsuo Ono was born on February 20, 1931. He was the son of Risuke Oku and Shimi Oku. He served in the 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, as a Sergeant during the Korean War.
Sgt Ono died on November 9, 1951, in North Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
