Tsugio Saito was born on May 13, 1927. He was the son of Wakichi Saito and Doris Chiyo Takeuchi Saito. He served in the 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, as a Corporal and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Cpl Saito was Killed in Action on July 8, 1950, in South Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
