Allen Tomeo Sakamoto was born on December 4, 1933. He was the son of Matsuo Sakamoto. He served in the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

PFC Sakamoto was Killed in Action on October 15, 1952, during the Battle of Triangle Hill in North Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
