Noboru Uehara was born on February 1, 1932, in Lahainaluna, Maui County, Hawaii. He was the son of Baishin Uehara. He served in Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, as a Private and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Pvt Uehara was Killed in Action on April 25, 1951, in South Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacif, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
