Robert Torao Uyeda was born on August 15, 1930. He served in the 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, as a Private and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Pvt Uyeda was Killed in Action on February 14, 1951, in South Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
