Takeo Uyehara was born on April 21, 1928. He served in the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private and Heavy Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Pvt Uyehara was seriously wounded in action by enemy fire in South Korea and succumbed to his wounds on September 7, 1951. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
