Andrew Ryuichi Watada was born on December 29, 1927. He was the son of Arthur Matajiro Watada and En Watada. He served in the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, as a Sergeant and Interpreter during the Korean War.
Sgt Watada was Killed in Action on January 7, 1951, in South Korea. He is now buried in the Hillside Cemetery, Fort Lupton, Weld County, Colorado, USA.
