Tsugio Yamaguchi was born on March 30, 1932. He was the son of Roy Shigeki Yamaguchi. He served in the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Assault Crewman during the Korean War.

PFC Yamaguchi was Killed in Action on October 14, 1952, during the Battle of Triangle Hill in North Korea. He is now buried in the Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe, Kauai County, Hawaii, USA.
