Tetsumi Yokooji was born on March 1, 1928. He was the son of Tamotsu Yokooji. He served in Company M, 3rd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, as a Private and Heavy Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

Pvt Yokooji was Killed in Action on September 28, 1951, in North Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
