Tatsuo Yoshino was born on April 1, 1928. He served in the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.

PFC Yoshino was Killed in Action on September 13, 1951, during the Battle of Heartbreak Ridge in North Korea. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
