Of Veneta, Oregon. Born June 30, 1953 in Eugene, Oregon. He graduated from the Elmira High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from the Oregon State University in Corvallis.. He was in the National Guard before joining the Army. Died in the crash of Arrow Air Flight 1285. Of the 248 servicemen, all but twelve were members of 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), most of whom were from the 3d Battalion, 502nd Infantry; eleven were from other Forces Command units; and one was an agent from the Criminal Investigations Command (CID).
