George Janser was the son of John Stanley Janser (of Poland) & Stefania Rogaski (daughter of Polish emigrants). He was the second child to John and Stephina after his brother Edward. Like his older brother George had spent his whole life in Connecticut and again like his older brother, on 7 May 1942 in Hartford, Enlisted with the Army as a Private. He graduated from Terryville High School, Terryville, Connecticut class of 1937. He was the tail Gunner of the B-17 "Shack Rabbit III" and was killed when the plane was shot down over Hensies, Belgium.
