arry Deiman. Chaplain 1st Lieutenant. 354th Infantry, 89th Division. Harry was the son of Harry Deiman, born Quincy, Illinois, & Sabra Newton born Denmark, Iowa. Harry & Sabra Deiman were living at Geddes, Charles Mix County, South Dakota circa 1920. Harry Deiman graduated from Yankton College, South Dakota and the Chicago Theological Seminary. He was the Pastor of the First Congregational Church in Minneapolis prior to entering the service. While serving at the front, near Sommes, France, he was buried under a building wrecked by a german shell. His wife said he died Sep. 29, 1918. He had a wife, Mrs. Katherine Helen Jeffers Deiman born New Florence, Missouri, and a daughter, Helen, who were living in New Florence, Missouri circa 1920.
