Earl Bland Railsback was born on August 2, 1917 in Braymer, Caldwell County, Missouri. He was the son of Guy Herbert Railsback and Hattie Fletcher Railsback. Earl served in the 157th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division as a First Lieutenant during World War II. He died on October 25, 1944 at the age of 27 during the liberation of Housseras in France. He is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery, Dinozé, France.
