TSgt Edwin G. Insley was the bombardier of the B-26 Marauder 42-107811 “Lady Godiva” when it took off from station 166 in Matching Green, Essex, UK on a bombing mission to Senonches. The plane was shot down by flak at 1030, breaking it in two. Only part of the crew managed to bail out.
