Gerald Provost Thomas was born on November 15, 1896 in Flushing, New York. Before he entered the service, he was a student at Princeton, Class of 1919. 2LT Thomas was assigned in the Aviation Section, Signal Corps during World War I. He was killed in an aerial combat against Germans in France on September 22, 1918 and is now buried in the Flushing Cemetery, Flushing, Queens County, New York, USA.
