Alpheus Franklin Berlin, aged 27, was born on August 18, 1917 in Hillsdale County, Michigan. He was the son of Nelson Michael Berlin and Clara Fern Hoover Berlin. Alpheus served in the 324th Fighter Group as a Lieutenant during World War II. He was Killed in Action in 1945 in Germany and is now buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA
