Born August 18, 1919 in Mt. Pleasant, TX. Volunteered for the airborne and was assigned to "I" Company of the 508th PIR. He was wounded after landing at Gourbesville during the Normandy Invasion and had his hand amputated. Was a POW for the rest of the war and was liberated from Nuremberg in January 1945.
