Gilford Rudolpheus “Gill” Albertson, Jr., aged 19, was born on February 9, 1925. He was the son of Gilford Rudolpheus Albertson and Mary Louise Walburn Luscomb. Gilford served in the United States Naval Reserve as a Signalman 3rd Class Petty officer during World War II. He died on June 8, 1944 at Omaha beach on D-day and is now buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, La Porte County, Indiana, USA.
